Last Energy To Host Coytrahen Presentation For Llynfi Clean Energy Project

Last Energy will host its first public presentation for the Llynfi Clean Energy Project on 17 February, 2025 at the Coytrahen Community Centre.

Coytrahen, South Wales — Last Energy UK Limited, a subsidiary of Last Energy, a full-service developer of 20 MWe micro modular nuclear power plants, will host its first public presentation for the Llynfi Clean Energy Project on 17 February, 2025 from 6:15 PM to 9:00 PM at the Coytrahen Community Centre (Coytrahen, Bridgend CF32 8TB). The presentation, which will be followed by a question and answer session, is open to the public.

In October 2024, Last Energy announced a proposal to deploy four 20 MWe micro-nuclear power plants at the site of the former coal fired power station at Llynfi, Llangynwyd, Bridgend. 

The project aims to provide electricity to local industry and estimates a local economic investment of £30 million in equipment, services, and other development-related activities.The project is expected to create at least 100 local full-time jobs. 

As part of its community engagement efforts, Last Energy is hosting several consultations over the coming months.
